Ryan Egan
Transition Manager & Incoming Chief of Staff
Ryan serves as the Mayor-Elect's Transition Manager and incoming Chief of Staff. Ryan is separate from the official Transition Committee, and handles the day-to-day operations of the transition for the Mayor-Elect. He has served as a Town Councilor in his hometown of Randolph, Massachusetts for the past six years. Most recently he worked in the Office of Mayor Charlie Sisitsky in Framingham, and the Office of Mayor Arthur Vigeant here in Marlborough. Maura Navin
Chair, Transition Team
Maura Navin is a native of Marlborough and holds a BA in International Affairs and a masters in Public Affairs. She is the founder/owner of LillaBlu Strategies, a boutique marketing company, and is a creative, strategic, and forward-thinking marketing communications leader, coach, and public speaker. Maura is also an adjunct professor at Clark University and a visiting professor in the MBA program at the Krakow University of Economics in Krakow, Poland. A former Marlborough City Councilor, Maura is passionate about our community and its future. Committed to empowering and fostering the growth of our youth, Maura serves on the Boards at
The Advanced Math and Science Academy Charter School, The Boys & Girls Clubs of Metrowest, and Brantwood Camp.

Mary Rowe
Senior Citizen Representative
Mary Rowe is a lifelong resident of Marlborough, retired teacher, and serves as a warden for our city elections. Ms. Rowe has served as an officer of the Friends of Marlborough Public Library and is currently on the Board of Governors of the Condo Association where she resides. Mary is also an active member at her parish church, Immaculate Conception. In her free time, Mary enjoys time with friends, both from her childhood and newer ones, the sun, the sand, and of course, a good book.

Molly Brodeur
Business Community Representative
Molly is a lifelong resident of Marlborough and graduated from Marlborough High School in 1992. She is a mother to four amazing children and has been married for 20 years. A 5th generation small business owner here in Marlborough, she is the Owner/President of Al Brodeur’s Auto Body, Inc. She currently serves on the Marlborough Economic Development Board of Directors and previously served as on the Board of Directors for the Marlborough Regional Chamber of Commerce, Molly served on the Executive Board of Directors for the Alliance of Automotive Service Providers for over 10 years, with six consecutive years as President of the organization.

Matthew Sargent
Veteran Representative
Matthew was raised in Marlborough and is the fourth generation of his family to live in the city. He attended Marlborough public schools until 10th grade and graduated from Hudson Catholic High School. After graduating from Massachusetts Maritime Academy in 2009, he took a commission in the United States Navy Reserve and sailed for the next nine years on various ships in the Merchant Marine. He came ashore in 2019 and works in Boston as an HVAC Mechanic with Local 877.
Passionate about local veterans' recognition and memorialization, Matt has worked to better tell the stories of those from Marlborough who died while serving in the military, both in peace and in war. He looks forward to working with the Dumais administration to further tell the stories of those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
Heather Johnston
Non-Profit Representative, Kits for Kids
Heather W. Johnston has been a resident of Marlborough since 2006. She is the President and founder of a local non-profit, Kits For Kids. Kits For Kids has helped thousands of children since its inception, including hundreds from Marlborough. Heather is very engaged in civic organizations and currently serves as the President of the Marlborough Rotary. Her term runs from 2023-2024.
Kathy Leonard
Non-Profit Representative, Marlborough Alliance for Prevention
Kathy was born and raised in the City of Marlborough. She attended Marlborough Public Schools and went on to earn her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Worcester State University. She has worked at Assabet Dental Group in Marlborough for over 33 years, and also does freelance work for other businesses. Kathy lost her son Jonathan to a heroin overdose in December 2014. Her personal journey with her son, and her grief journey, have driven her passion to promote education and awareness of substance use disorder while also reaching out to families who have lost loved ones to this disease. Kathy is Chairwoman of the Marlborough Alliance for Prevention, and is a strong advocate for bringing resources and support to individuals and families struggling with issues relating to mental health, alcohol and substance use disorders. Kathy also facilitates a local grief support group for those who have lost a loved one to addiction. She is a past board member of the Addiction Referral Center in Marlborough, a current member of the Hudson Youth Substance Abuse Prevention Coalition and the Central Metrowest Substance Awareness and Prevention Collaborative. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Opioid Spoon Project.
Peter Juaire
West Side Fire Station Committee Representative
Peter was born and raised in Marlborough He has been married to his beautiful with Cheryl for the past 25 years. He is a father to two daughters and step-father to three sons, grandfather to seven, and great grandfather to three. He attended St. Mary's School for grammar school and graduated from Marlborough Vocational High School. He obtained his associates degree in Fire Science from Quinsigamond Community College and spent 36 years as a member of the Marlborough Fire Department. His service includes six years as a Call Firefighter, 27 years as full-time Firefighter, 3.5 yrs as a Lieutenant. Due to his service, he was asked to serve on the West Side Fire Station for two years when it was active. Peter also served his community for many years as a Ward 4 and At-Large City Councilor. He is also a former business owner.

Jagruti Seemungal
Community Representative
Jagruti is a lawyer and mediator who currently works as a Manager at the Massachusetts Department of Corrections. She also works at the Embassy Suites Hotel located her in Marlborough.
As an active member of the community, Jagruti has served as a Girl Scout leader, PTO Co-President at the Advanced Math and Science Academy, a Cultural Council member, and a member of the Dollars for Scholars scholarship committee.
